Antiques From Lief Furnish Vogue Photo Shoot With Natalie Portman

Click the photo above to view the "Vogue Diaries" video of Vogue's cover shoot with Natalie Portman for the January 2011 issue.  The set is furnished with Gustavian antiques from Lief in Los Angeles.

French and Gustavian antiques from Lief  grace the pages of Vogue's January 2011 issue.  Lief, located in West Hollywood's chic Almont Yard, is one of my favorite sources for Swedish antiques, offering an extensive warehouse of antique lighting, furniture and accessories.  An elaborate ballroom in downtown L.A.'s historic Alexandria Hotel made a beautiful back drop for the antiques, fashion and, of course, Natalie Portman.  Here are some detailed shots of Lief's pieces used to style the shoot:

The variation in depth makes this Gustavian Console (circa 1780) unique.

I love the beautifully worn-in leather on this Pair of French Club Chairs (circa 1930).

The sculptural back and arms add an architectural quality to of this Swedish Gustavian Sofa (circa 1780).
