Meg Braff Adds Chic Resort Flair To A Bermudian Classic

The December issue of Coastal Living magazine features a gorgeous spread on a Bermuda house that I worked on while at Meg Braff Interiors, Inc.  Meg is an incredibly talented designer and has wonderful flair for resort decorating.  We had the best time with this project.  The location is heavenly, house is rich in character and the client has great taste - an ideal recipe for fabulous design!

The blue woven carpet adds warmth to the stone floor and walls of the entry hall.

Nothing says resort like bamboo!  Take advantage of a great view and make your outdoor seating as comfortable as your interior furniture with over sized cushions.

British colonial antiques were used in keeping with the island's English heritage.  Bright block printed fabrics give the antiques and classic architecture a hip and youthful air.

Meg found the pair of vintage brass palm tree lamps in Palm Beach.  They are so chic!  The height adds scale and they help to break up the wall of doors.

Solid colors are interesting when used in varying textures.  In this sitting room, sea foam green is layered in a multitude of textures: the wool striped carpet, the linen wrapped coffee table, the polished cotton pillows and the glazed gourd lamps.

The use of slipcovers makes for practical design at the beach.
