1stdibs Takes New York

1stdibs is Michael Bruno's innovative online marketplace, the first and finest of it's kind, for the world's most sought after antiques.  1stdibs gives virtual access to the best dealers from around the globe and allows streamlining of searches by piece, period, location, etc.  The site has dramatically changed the way designers and end users alike shop for antiques.

Now, the forward thinking Bruno is making a new imprint on the design industry with 1stdibs@NYDC.  A sampling of over fifty of 1stdibs dealers, each housed in their individually designed and well merchandised booths, now occupy the tenth floor of the New York Design Center.  The tenth floor was packed with leading interior and product designers (Meg Braff, Michael Devine, Matthew Smyth and Christopher Spitzmiller to name a few) at last night's opening party, co-hosted by Elle Decor.  The turn out was so impressive that shopping was difficult but I will be back soon and often to take advantage of this exciting new resource.

NYDC remains trade only with the exception of the tenth floor which is open to the public Monday through Saturday at 200 Lexington Avenue, New York.  Check out photos on Apartment Therapy.
