Petite Maison Adds Fresh New Style To St. Simons Island

Sea Island's Mediterranean revival architecture and natural beauty always make decorating there more fun than work.  However, past projects required shipping in truckloads of furnishings since there is limited shopping in the area.  That is why I was so excited to learn that Julie Willis opened Petite Maison, a stylish new interiors shop on St. Simon's Island. 

Petite Maison occupies the first floor of a pretty whitewashed house.  Chic rattan furniture is displayed on the veranda. 

Inside is a mix of European antiques, accessories, lighting and gift items.  Petite Maison is the local exclusive dealer of several reproduction lines including Oly Studio.

Accessories in shades of green, blue, yellow and coral can be found throughout.  Reasonably priced ceramic lamps and eye catching pillows were some of my favorite items.

I am crazy about this oyster shell chandelier - it is a great statement piece for any beach house!
