Thursday evening's Young Collector's Night at the Winter Antiques Show was quite an affair! The Show was packed with a stylish antique and art dealers, decorators, and design aficionados. The event was partly sponsored by an elite Design Committee which included several of my favorite decorators, a few of whom shared their top picks from the Show:
18th Century Indian painted-and-dyed cotton panel pattern of exotic floral and flowering vases from Cora Ginsburg. |
Rustic Armchairs of tree branches, twigs and birch root. American, Adirondack region circa 1890-1905. From Hirschl & Adler. |
Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn, circa 1940. From Hostler-Burrows. |
I highly regard Timothy Whealon's knowledge of and taste for antiques. Whealon said this vintage cabinet "has the impact of a piece of fine art" and could stand alone in any room.
Miles Redd says the painted legs lend a lightness to this framed sofa which he would use "in a bedroom or in a living room with multiple seating arrangements."
Maison Jansen Monumental scalloped-back settee. French circa 1935. From Liz O'Brien. |
Hello gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome event!
Love that settee!
Thanks so much, Lizzie! Wish you were here so we could have gone together. xoxo
