Get Instant Patina with Architectural Elements from Compas



I am crazy about this antique bathtub!  The large marble slabs show
off the pretty veining and natural color variation of the stone. 
The simple tapered shape makes for an elegant profile.

One of the best ways to give a new house character and soul is to incorporate antique furniture, lighting and salvaged architectural materials whenever possible.  On a recent trip to Los Angeles, I was impressed by Compas, an exquisite source for custom cast bath fittings, reclaimed architectural elements, antique tiles and stone floors.

The walls and floors of this light filled showroom display beautifully patinaed lime stones and marbles as well as antique majolica, mosaic and terra cotta tiles.

I find the half hexagons a unique way to incorporate two
marble colors rather than the usual method of alternating
the colors of whole tiles. 

The imperfections and color variations of this "Reclaimed Antique
White Marble" give the floor a sense of age.

Walking on this "Reclaimed Italian Limestone" will make you feel
like you are in an old Tuscan villa. 

The pattern and color combo on this "Reclaimed European Majolica"
looks like one of today's hip block printed fabrics.

Throughout you will find reclaimed mantles, deep marble bathtubs and stone and cast sinks.

I would use this antique French limestone mantle to add
scale and interest to a warm hued room with plaster walls,
a limestone floor and beamed ceilings.

This antique marble sink was one of my favorite pieces at Compas.
Sometimes it is hard to make a small powder room a unique
decorative space, but this sink with engraved chantus
leaves reinvigorates a typically static environment.
